Mrs. Dimple Irene England Alred, age 81 of Plainville, passed away Sunday January 1, 2012 at Gordon Hospital following several years of declining health.
Mrs. Alred was born in Gordon County on December 15, 1930, daughter of the late Ira and Laura Bagley England. She was a graduate of Red Bud High School, a homemaker, and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Voydell Alred, a sister, Jean Cheung, an infant sister, and a nephew, Russell Allen.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Stacy and Melissa Alred of Adairsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Mike Thompson of Hapeville, GA; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Morine and Harry Cheung of Williamsville, NY, and Helen and James Allen of Resaca; grandchildren, Shane Taylor, Robin McLendon, Garrett Alred and Kaylin Alred; great-grandchildren, Lauren Edwards, Daniel Taylor, and Savannah Taylor; a great-great grandchild, Daniel Adam Taylor; aunts, uncles, cousins; and very special friends, Mack and Emily Thompson.
Graveside funeral Services for Mrs. Dimple Irene England Alred will be conducted Tuesday January 3, 2012 at 2:00pm from the Pine Chapel Cemetery, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Randall Allen, Danny House, Laney House, Shane Taylor and Darren Bailey.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday after 12:00 noon.
