Dimple Walraven

Mrs. Dimple Walraven, age 89 of Calhoun, died Thursday morning, February 07, 2008 at the Calhoun Health Care Center.

Mrs. Walraven was born on April 15, 1918 in Gordon County, daughter of the late John Henry Sisson and Dennis Buchannan Sisson. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Silas A. Thompson in 1959, and by her later husband, Vernon Walraven in 1992, as well as several sisters and brothers.

Mrs. Walraven is survived by two sons; Jerry Thompson and Danny Walraven, both of Resaca; and one sister, Ola Mae Roberts of Calhoun. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dimple Walraven will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Pallbearers selected to serve are Buck McBee, Sanford Sisson, Claude Sisson, Harold Crump, Johnny McBee, Gene McBee, Donald Crump and Harlan Crump. Interment will follow the service at the Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Friday evening during the hours of 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers; the family requests that contributions be made in Mrs. Walraven's memory to the Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. You may leave your contributions at the funeral home.
