Obituary
Donald (Don) Lamar Clements Sr., 70, of Gordon County died Friday, November 13, 2020.
He was born on August 29, 1950 in McRae and grew up in Warner Robins Georgia.
Don attended and graduated from Northside high school in Warner Robins. He then went on to graduate from Georgia college in Milledgville.
Don loved his dogs 'Leon', 'Blossom', 'Buck', and 'Peaches'. He also his loved his cats 'Swiper' and 'Sweetie'. He enjoyed hunting, target shooting, playing his guitar, country music, and never missed an episode of the Marty Stewart Show. Don loved telling jokes, especially to his granddaughters, no matter how many times he had told them before. He never met a stranger and he never stopped talking.
In Dons younger years, he worked as a policeman and a fire fighter in Warner Robins. He later worked in the brewery industry, starting at Pabst Blue Ribbon in Perry and then moving on to Budweiser in Cartersville. He's finally at peace after many years of fighting a brave battle against multiple illnesses that few others could have endured.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Loraine Clements; children, Chrissie Guenther (Joe) and Donnie Clements Jr.; siblings, Gary Clements and Cheryl Goodwin; grandchildren, Jolie Guenther and Zoe Clements.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 16, 2020 at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home between the hours of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home.
Due to the National health crisis and the COVID-19 virus, the mask must be worn properly at all times and social distancing guidelines must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
