Donald M. Bryson

Donald M. "Don" Bryson, 62 of Calhoun, died Tuesday, May 20, 2015. He was born in Whitfield County on September 15, 1952, son of Maxine Jackson Bryson and the late Melvin C. Bryson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, J.M. Bennett and Lillie Pearl Bennett and a niece, Kathryn Hall.

Mr. Bryson was a member of the 1970 graduating class of North Whitfield High School and received an associate's degree from Dalton Junior College. He owned and operated Don Bryson Incorporated.

He is survived by his wife Darlene Bennett Bryson, to whom he was married to for 41 years; his mother, Maxine Jackson Bryson; a daughter and son-in-law, Mendi and Toby Holsomback; grandchildren, Laney and Rice Holsomback; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Jerry Combe; brother-in-law, Leonard Fletcher; sister-in-law, Patsy Fletcher; nieces, Celina Locke, Misty Coker, and Jennifer Brown; nephews, Monty Bennett and Jeff Fletcher.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 26th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The family requests that flowers be omitted and donations be made in Don's memory to your favorite charity.
