Doris Keith Myers

Mrs. Doris Keith "Dot" Myers, 86 of Calhoun, died Sunday, December 28, 2015 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. She was born in Lyerly, GA on April 8, 1929, daughter of the late Clarence and Flora Estelle Dodson Keith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Keith Parker in 2001; a daughter, Sherri Vineyard in 2015; and brothers and sisters, Mary Ruth Keith in 1949, Frances Tapp in 2008, Kenny Tapp in 2011, and Jack R. Tapp.

Dot had been employed with Echota Smokehouse. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, James E. Parker of Calhoun; a son-in-law, Bill Vineyard; a brother, Charles W. Keith; grandchildren, Christy and Bryan; and close family friend, Judy Pierce, who loved and cared deeply for Dot.

Services to honor the life of Mrs. Doris Keith "Dot" Myers will be held Thursday, December 31st at 2:00 PM, from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Thomas Gill officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 30th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
