Dorothy Lee Rogers Young

Mrs. Dorothy Lee Rogers Young, age 84, of Calhoun passed away on June 17, 2014 after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Young was born in Calhoun County, West Virginia on March 9, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Eva S. Rogers. Along with her parents, Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Young; her sons, Michael Young and Larry Young; her granddaughter, Peggy Harrison; brothers, Randolph and Clifford Rogers; her sister, Mildred Moss. Mrs. Young retired from Alladin Mills in 1992.

Survivors are her sons, Ronnie and Rex Young, of Calhoun; daughters, Denise West, of Calhoun, and Patricia Bell of Tunnel Hill; her grandchildren, Dennis Young, Tabitha McGarity, Jonathan Falconer, Rex Allen Young, Stacey Wells, Angie White, Robin White; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Pickens County. Pallbearers are Dennis Mitchell, Rex Allen Young, Johnny Falconer, Billy Joe Rogers, Timothy Young, and Andrew Young; Christopher McGarity will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will begin receiving friends on Thursday, June 19, 2014 after 9:00 a.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
