Obituary

Dorothy Cook Quarles, 77, of Resaca, GA, died Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. She was born in Ft. Payne, AL on March 5, 1942, daughter of the late Clyde Maurice and Mamie Louise Garmin Cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Emory Quarles, on July 5, 2016.
She leaves behind her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Donna Quarles, Barry and Hilda Quarles, Gary and Diann Quarles, Jeffrey and Teresa Quarles, and Joey and Debbie Quarles; her daughters and son-in-law, Joann Pratt, Vonda and Heath York, Lisa Quarles, and Felicia Quarles; her grandchildren, Joe Quarles, Peter Quarles, Ruth Allison, Erica Rafael Leiva, Melissa Earl, Hunter Quarles, Timothy Quarles, Mary Quarles, Houston Dutton, Hannah Roberts, Wyatt York, Kevin Poarch, Kendra Poarch, Shannon Quarles, and Dallas and Jennifer Smith; and her sisters, Teresa Cline and Marguerite Hufstetler.
A Memorial Service to honor her life will be held Friday, November 1st at 6:00 PM, from Boone Ford Baptist Church, with Rev. Mitch Phillips, Rev. Hunter Quarles, and Rev. Gary Quarles officiating. Music will be arranged by Eric Bohannon.
The family will receive friends at Boone Ford Baptist Church on Friday from 3:00 PM until the service hour of 6:00 PM.
