Douglas Mitchell Scott

Mr. Douglas Mitchell Scott, age 60 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at his residence following several years of declining health. He was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on November 4, 1950, son of the late Curtis and Mary Agnes Scott. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Kenneth West.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Deborah Hutto Scott; two sons, Jeff Scott and his wife Monica of Sylacauga, Alabama, and Peter Rinna of Wilsonville, Oregon; four daughters, Angeline West and her husband Wilburn, and Karen Scott, all of Sylacauga, Marjorie Edmisten and her husband Robert, and Ceceilia Miller, all of Calhoun; a brother, Rodger Scott of Sylacauga; and grandchildren, Hunter Scott, Andrew Scott, Savannah Scott, Jonathan McCoy, Katie Scott, Anna West, Tara Lloyd, Lila Edmisten, Lauren Edmisten, and Noah Edmisten.

Mr. Scott's body was cremated, and there will be no local services.
