Doyle Allen Grizzle

Mr. Doyle Allen Grizzle, 62 of Calhoun, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Floyd Hospital at 8:05 PM following a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. Doyle was born in Floyd County on October 15, 1952, son of the late Homer Allen Grizzle and the late Betty Carolyn Dadda Grizzle.

He was a retired truck driver with Mohawk Industries. He was a member of the Plainville Church of God of Prophecy, and a former Adult Sunday School teacher that he put his heart and soul into. He was dearly loved by so many and will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Vickie Quinton Grizzle; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dana and Glen Rayburn, and Jessica and Tim Minton; two sons, Joshua and Joey Grizzle; ten grandchildren, Brittany and Lacey Vaughn, Lily Rayburn, Thomas, Kaidence, and Kaci Minton, Peyton, Bryson, and Kolton Grizzle, and Mollie Grizzle; a great-granddaughter, Brynleigh Benton; and sisters, Sheila Rose and Rhonda Vasquez. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Doyle Allen Grizzle will be held Sunday, February 22nd at 2:00 PM from Plainville Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Jerry Gaddis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Glenn Rayburn, Tim Minton, John Minton, and Lane Tow.

The Grizzle family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
