Earsell Crowe

Mrs. Earsell Crowe, 86 of Fairmount, GA died Monday, July 4, 2016. She was born in Murray County on January 20, 1930, daughter of the late Walter and Alma Cox Beal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Uriel McElroy; her second husband, Roy Crowe; a brother, J.W. Beal; and sisters, Opal Evans, Marnell Buttram, and Odell Corn.

Mrs. Crowe was a member of Fairmount First Baptist Church, where she was a nursery worker for 15 years. She was a homebound teacher for 15 years, and was a caregiver to many elders and shut-ins.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Kevin Wehunt of Fairmount; her sister, Estelle Gilbert of Calhoun; sister-in-law, Louise Beal; and grandchildren, Leah Wehunt, Bailey Wehunt, and Hannah Wehunt. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Services to honor the life of Mrs. Earsell Crowe will be held Thursday, July 7th at 2:00 PM from Fairmount First Baptist Church, with Rev. Rick Langston and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery. Music will be arranged by Matt Lacey. Pallbearers serving will include Michael Beal, Shane Gilbert, Ray Buttram, Kevin Blalock, David Sanford, and Jeff Sanford.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 6th from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and on Thursday at Fairmount Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 2:00 PM.
