Mrs. Eathlene Couch Postell, age 75 of Calhoun, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at her residence following three years of declining health.
She was born on October 27, 1935 in Fannin County, daughter of the late Frank and Maggie Garren Couch. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hallman Postell, and a daughter, Loretta Postell.
Mrs. Postell is survived by five daughters, Karen Cloer and her husband Brandon, Jannie Burke and her husband Amos, Mary Ann Walls and her husband Dennis, all of Calhoun, Peggy Adams and her husband Ricky of Adairsville, and Mary Lou Arriaga and her husband Adolfo of Dallas, Texas; two sons, Ricky Postell of Cartersville, and Richard Postell of Calhoun; and two brothers, Dennis Couch and his wife Joann of Powder Springs, and Elmer Couch. Twenty grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Eathlene Couch Postell will be conducted Tuesday, July 19, at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Mr. Kenneth Muse and Sister Joan Moore officiating. Active pallbearers will include Brandon Cloer, Amos Burke, Frank Burke, James Flieds, James Hollingsworth and Adolfo Arriaga. Honorary pallbearers are Nollen Cloer, Brain Stanley, Shon Stanley, Kelvin Postell and Michael Lee Rhodes. Internment will follow the service in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Monday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
