Eddie Fuquea

Mr. Eddie "Barrel" Fuquea, age 57 of Bessemer, Alabama, formerly of Calhoun, died Saturday, March 12, 2011 while a patient in UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.

Mr. Fuquea was born in Gordon County, Georgia on August 31, 1954, son of the late Edward and Johnnie Mae Boswell Fuquea. He had lived the greater part of his life in Calhoun, and had been employed by Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company until ill health forced his retirement.

Survivors include his son, Jason Fuquea of Chickamauga, Georgia; three brothers, Ronald, Randall and Ricky Fuquea, all of Calhoun; a sister, Sharon Fuquea; along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family requests his body be cremated with no service to follow. In place of floral contributions, a donation may be made to your favorite charity in Mr. Fuquea's memory.
