Eddis Mildred West

Mrs.Eddis Mildred West, age 86 of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Calhoun Health Care following an extended illness.

Mrs. West was born on March 31, 1922 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Claude Thomas Hall and Dessie Cooper Hall. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Boyd West. Mrs. West was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church and the Sequoyah Easter Star Chapter of Calhoun. During her lifetime, she worked in the textile industry.

Mrs. West is survived by a son, Charles West and his wife Donna of Calhoun; a brother, Jerry Hall and his wife Nancy of Calhoun; two grandchildren, Robin West and Ray West; great grandchildren, Jason West, Rachael West and Adam West; nieces and nephews, Reginald Hall, Russell Hall, Tara Murphy, Daylan Hall, Macy Hall, Lex Murphy, Logan Hall and MacKenzie Hall.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eddis Mildred West will be conducted Friday at 3:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Active pallbearers serving will include Nathan Murphy, Reginald Hall, Russell Hall and Jason West. Interment will follow the service at Chandler Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Thursday during the hours of 4:00pm and 9:00pm.
