Mrs. Edith Diane Pruitt Clements, age 57 of Calhoun, died peacefully Thursday evening.
Mrs. Clements was born in Gordon County on December 19th, 1950, daughter of the late Doyle and Jewell Pruitt. Edith was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church where she served as Children's Church leader with her husband for 25 years. She also served on the board of Gospel Ministries to Children for 25 years.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Clements and children, Jeff and Kim Clements of Calhoun, and Amy and Joey Moore of Calhoun; two precious and loved grandchildren, Brock Jeffrey Clements and Abigail Elise Moore; and mother-in-law, Katie Clements of Calhoun; one sister, Readith West of Tucker, Georgia; and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Conway and Shirley Clements of Cartersville, Georgia. Four nephews and two nieces also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Diane Pruitt Clements will be held Saturday, March 22nd, at 1:00 P.M from Bethesda Baptist Church, with Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Eddie Brannon in charge of the services at graveside. Pallbearers serving include Rodney Squires, Luke Tow, Tony Mullinax, Lon Curtis, Chris Clements and Joseph O'Neal. Honorary Escorts include Mr. & Mrs. R.L. Fuquea, David & Jan Stokes, Brock & Delilah Baxter, George and Linda Southgate, Vernon & Gwen Jackson, Van & Susan Taylor, Dale & Pat Silvers, Shelia White, Donna Manning, Celia Kirby, Carol Davis, Janie Lake, Dena, Ashley and Katie Curtis and Charlotte Baker.
The family would like to express their love and gratitude to Dr. Eric Turner, Charlotte, Lynn, Connie, Catrina, Dr. Craig Box, Teressa and staff.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Friday, between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M.
