Edna Talley

Mrs. Edna Talley, age 60 of Calhoun, died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at her residence following several years of declining health. She was born in Gordon County on March 14, 1951, daughter of Jeanette Bradley Beasley and the late Dennis Bradley. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her step-father, Jimmy Beasley.

Mrs. Talley was a member of Meadowdale Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Charles William "Billy" Talley; her mother, Jeanette Beasley; a son, Billy Lee Talley of Calhoun; a daughter, Jennifer Talley of Calhoun; three step-daughters, Kita Bone and her husband Dickie, Lanita Cagle and her husband Steve, and Belina Bramblett and her husband Dan, all of Calhoun; two brothers, Dennis Bradley and Adam Bradley, both of Calhoun; and eight sisters, Betty Nabors and Eula "Mae" Nabors of Texas, Helen Hull of Tunnel Hill, Charlotte Faye McDaniel of Alabama, Mary Ann Brock of Georgia, Lolita Conley of Calhoun, Minnie Busbee of Florida, and Millie Moody of Dothan, Alabama. Grandchildren surviving are Bryan and Samantha Kirby, Barry and Melanie Kirby, Josh and Leann Bone, Seth Bone, Allison and Jason Hall, Leah Browning, Alex Browning, Ryan Talley, Slade Talley, Zoey Talley, Griffin Bramblett, and Danielle Bramblett. A host of great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Talley will be held Sunday, July 3rd at 3:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Brent Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will include members of the Calhoun VFW and American Legion. Honorary pallbearers are members of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday after 3:00pm.
