Ednie Mae Dinsmore

Mrs. Ednie Mae Dinsmore, age 80 of Calhoun, passed away December 15, 2007 at Floyd Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Pickens County on March 21, 1927, daughter of the late Luther and Braskia Southerland Fountain. Mrs. Dinsmore was a homemaker in her lifetime, and was a member of the Calhoun Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dinsmore, Jr., and her parents, Luther and Braskia Southerland Fountain.

Survivors include three daughters, Helen Dinsmore of Calhoun, Margaret Brendel and her husband Wayne of Jasper, and Janice Wilson and her husband Wesley of Calhoun; a son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Donna Densmore, Jr. of Calhoun; a brother, Bill Fountain and his wife Betty of Florida; sisters, Nancy Young of Ludville, Minnie Hancock and her husband J.R. of Ludville, and Bonnie Burton and her husband Kenneth of the Jerusalem community; grandchildren, Wayne Brendel, Jr., Matthew Brendel, and Brian Brendel, all of Jasper; Cheryl Dougherty of Canton, Paula Densmore, Shane Wilson, and Shawn Wilson, all of Calhoun; a step-granddaughter, Jody Pledger of Rome; great-great grandchildren, Hunter Wilson, Hagen Wilson, Caitlyn Dougherty, Michael Dougherty, Jr., Ethan Floyd, Amber Brendel, Luck Brendel, Zachary Brendel, Mattia Brendel, Sydney Pledger, and Jackson Pledger. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ednie Mae Dinsmore will be conducted Monday, December 17 at 2:00pm from the Friendship Baptist Church in Ludville, with Minister Wayne Brendel officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Eddie Fountain, Tracy Alday, Robert Burton, Kenneth Bryant, Jackie Brannon, and Jeff Beasley. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Monday at 12:45pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday after 5:00pm.
