Mr. Edward (Ed) W. Pittman, 55 of Calhoun, GA died Friday, May 27, 2016 at his home following several years of declining health. He was born in Austell, GA on October 1, 1960.
Ed had been employed with the Cobb County Fire Department for 32 years, obtaining the rank of Sargent. He loved the outdoors, and hunting and fishing. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and loved kids, especially his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his parents, Thomas E. Pittman and Jerrie Thomason Pittman; his sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Jerry Carter of Calhoun; nieces, Heather Carter Baker (Justin) and soon to arrive Baby Baker, Mackenzie Baker, Tiffany Savancki (Steven) and daughter Ashlynn; nephews, Dylan Baker, and Justin Carter (Jennifer) and their children, Loren and Lannah; and a great niece, Carleigh Rose Baker. Aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of special friends also survive.
Services to honor the life of Mr. Edward (Ed) W. Pittman will be held Sunday, May 29th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Curtis Downey and Doyal McTyre officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Jonathon Downey, Russell Ayers, Lane Ayers, Victor Ayers, Greg McClure, David Cochran and Burt Shurette.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 28th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
