Elaine Crook Walraven

Mrs. Elaine Crook Walraven, age 64 of Fairmount, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Gordon County on February 1, 1948, daughter of Odell Hamrick Crook and the late Columbus Crook. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Nell Perry.

Survivors include her mother, Odell Hamrick Crook of Fairmount; a brother, James Crook of Calhoun; two sisters, Bertha Chapman of Fairmount, and Ellaree Smith of Dalton; a special niece, Barbara Jones of Chatsworth; and nieces and nephews, David and Annie Ruth Perry, Kenny and Vickie Chapman, Donna and Greg Samples, Denise and Ricky Brookshire, Jamie Crook, and Allison and Howard Lewis.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elaine Crook Walraven will be held Thursday, February 9th at 1:00pm from the Pleasant Grove (Ryo) Baptist Church, with Rev. Harold Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
