Obituary

Elaine Nichelson Chastain "Red", 68, of Fairmount, GA died Wednesday, October 14, 2020 after a brief illness. She was born on August 26, 1952 in Cartersville, GA to the late Roscoe and Jewel Gibson Nichelson. She was preceded in death by her son, Jody Chastain and siblings, James Edward Nichelson, Marthy Nichelson, and Betty Lou Williams.
She was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed dearly by the ones who loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Jimmy "Meathead" Chastain; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Tonya Chastain; her very special granddaughter, Savannah Chastain; special friend, Faye Croft; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
A private family visitation was held and a public graveside service at Haven of Rest Memorial Park will be announced at a later time.
