Elisabeth Anna Herron

Mrs. Elisabeth Anna Weck Herron, 87, of Calhoun, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, December 21, 2024, following a period of declining health.

Mrs. Herron was born in Bartelsworf Village, Germany, on December 27, 1936. After following her husband around the world during his Military Career, they settled in Calhoun. She had been employed by Carriage Industries, which later was acquired by Shaw Industries. She enjoyed being outdoors and caring for her many flowers and plants. She never lost her beautiful German accent, was very protective of her family, and was the very definition of what a monarch should be. She enjoyed cooking for her family and making their favorite dish. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Clyde R. Herron; daughter Corina Sanders of Calhoun; sons Bruce "Peggy" Herron of Adairsville and Mark "Renee" Herron of Cartersville; grandchildren Sasha Herron, Dustin "Danielle" Herron, and Cameron Sanders; great-grandchildren Skylin, Parker, Hudson, Lakeley, Grace, Owen, and Anna; along with other relatives.

Mrs. Elisabeth Anna Herron's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 24th, at 1:00 PM in the Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home chapel. Eddie Brannon will officiate. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery, with Pastor Jerry Adair conducting the graveside service. The pallbearers  will be Ronnie Fox, Bud Owen’s, Andrew Davis, Haley O’Neal, Stanley Lay, and Travis Smith. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday at noon at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home.
