Ella Patterson

Ella (Pat) Patterson, age 95 of Calhoun, GA passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Pickens County, GA on May 16, 1918, daughter of the late Arthur Hugh and Lula Belle Carroll Patterson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Rev. Luther Patterson, Rev. Alfred Patterson, Elbert Patterson, Rev. Lloyd Patterson, and Arthur Lee Patterson; and four sisters, Lois Carver, Geraldine Johnson, Faye Clark, and Odell Silvers.

Pat was retired from OJay Mills as a machine operator. She was a member of Ball Creek Baptist Church in Pickens County.

Survivors include two sisters, Gladys Jones of Marietta, GA and Ruth Garlin of Calhoun; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services for Ella (Pat) Patterson will be held Friday, November 29th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Gene Childers and Rev. Jason Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove (Ryo) Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Mitchell Patterson, Ricky Patterson, Mike Westmoreland, Jimmy Pate, Danny Clark, and Gary Prater. Honorary pallbearers are Thurman Carver and Troy Carver.

The Patterson family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
