Elmer Silvers

Elmer Silvers, 84, of Ranger, died at his home on Saturday, August 05, 2017, following several months of declining health. Elmer was born in Rome on October 2, 1932; he was the son of the late Joe and Mamie Stone Silvers. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Elmer worked for many years at Ranger Rugs and retired from Ed Lacey Mills. He was a member of Resaca Tabernacle.

Elmer is survived by his wife of more than 56 years, Della Mae Silvers; his son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Cindy Silvers; his daughters, Cathy Edwards and her fianc, Larry Lincoln, and Betty Ann Stewart; his grandchildren, Steven (Ginny) Edwards, Jason (Missy) Mullins, Brian (Nicole) Edwards, Jeremy (Crystal) Mullins, and Cody (Autumn) Silvers; his sister, Annis Mulkey; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The Silvers family will receive friends on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation on Monday at 2:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ed Silvers will officiate. Pallbearers are Jason Mullins, Jeremy Mullins, Cody Silvers, Steven Edwards, Larry Lincoln, and Tanner Gossett.
