Elsie Mae Cook

Elsie Mae Cook, 94, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023. She was born on August 7, 1928, in Calhoun, Georgia to the late James Allen Reeves and Callie Victoria Sisson Reeves. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband in 2006, William Glenn Cook; son, Marvin Chuck Cook.

Elsie attended Resaca Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Linda (Mike) Connally and Shelbia Touchstone; grandchildren, Kip Connally (Ashley), Kerri Connally Pugh (Rodney), Tonya Touchstone Goodroe (Glenn), Chris Cook (Crystal), and Jayia Touchstone Serritt (Shane); great grandchildren, Eady Beth Connally Osborne (Conner), Abby Connally White (Hunter), Kayley Pugh Crooms (Devin), Rylan Pugh, Thomas Goodroe, Kristen Goodroe, Chandler Serritt, Alivia Serritt, Gabe Cook, Abigail Redwine, and Corey Cook; her two special friends, Lesa Timms and Barbara Pinyan Balliew.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 5:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Blackstock officiating. Burial will be in Chandler Cemetery.Pallbearers are, Kip Connally, Chris Cook, Chandler Serritt, Thomas Goodroe, Glenn Goodroe, Rodney Pugh, and Ryland Pugh.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to Resaca Baptist Church, Gordon County Senior Center, Gordon Health and Rehab, or Affinis Hospice in her memory.
