Emma Coffin, of Ranger, Georgia, passed away March 10, 2016 at home. She was 90 years old. Emma Coffin was a devoted wife and mother, assisting her husband, the late Dr. Harold G. Coffin, in his ministry of scientific research on evidences of a Biblical, worldwide flood. She studied library science and worked in that field in places such as Canadian Union College and the library of Geoscience Research Institute in Loma Linda, California.
Emma Coffin is survived by her children, Glenda and Gordon Hayward of Ranger, Georgia and Kris and Mike Stevenson of Reno, NV. Her grandchildren are Shannon and Jon Gabbard of Louisville, KY; Michaela Stevenson of Seattle, WA; Nicholas Hayward of Lacombe, Alberta; and Callen Stevenson of Lacombe, Alberta. She has one great grandchild, Tyler Gabbard of Louisville, KY.
Her family and friends are eagerly awaiting the resurrection where they will be reunited with her in a place of no more pain and tears.
A graveside funeral service for Emma Coffin will be held Sunday, March 13th at 6:00 PM from Chandler Cemetery, with Jonathan Montes and Fernando Verduzo officiating. Pallbearers will be Ric Claus, Jonathan Montes, Gordon Hayward, Fernando Verduzo, Robert Gresham, and Steve Bruni.
The Coffin family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 5:30 PM.
A memorial service will be held in Calhoun, Georgia on April 16th at 4:00 PM from the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church.
