Emma Mae Peace

Mrs. Emma Mae Peace, age 84 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Calhoun Health Care. She was born in Gilmer County on February 26, 1926, daughter of the late Charlie and Ruth Beasley Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Peace; three brothers, and five sisters.

Mrs. Peace was retired from Georgia Textile, and was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Peace, and Roger Peace and his wife Pat; a brother, Jerry Wilson, all of Calhoun; seven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Mae Peace will be conducted Tuesday, June 15th at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Winfred Casey officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery, with Rev. Roger Peace, Jr. conducting the committal service. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Monday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
