Mrs. Eneas Margaret Buttram Wade, age 90 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008 in Cartersville, GA. She was born on July 31, 1918, daughter of the late George Buttram and the late Fannie Mae Carnes Buttram. Mrs. Wade was a member of Graves Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles Herman Wade, Sr., a daughter, Edna W. Greeson, and six siblings. Mrs. Wade lived with her daughter LeAnna, and three of her grandchildren; Katelynn, Kathrynn, and Nathaniel Stockman.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Charles H. and Greta Wade, Jr. of Bethlehem, GA, and Ricky and Sue Wade of Resaca; two daughters, Virginia Tilton of Alabama, and LeAnna Stockman and her husband Werner of Calhoun; and a special daughter-in-law, Kathy Wilson of Sugar Valley. A brother, James Buttram of Calhoun; a sister, Catherine Duvall of Kingston, eight grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Eneas Margaret Buttram Wade will be conducted Tuesday, September 23rd at 4:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Matt Futch officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Werner Stockman, Stephen Belcher, James Buttram, Butch Wade, Chuck Wade, and Lamar (Bodie) Ray. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 3:00pm. Matt Kennedy and Randall Reece will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday after 5:00pm.
