Erwin Brown

Mr. Erwin "Peco" Brown, age 69, a well known resident of Calhoun, died Monday, December 24th, 2007 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Brown was born August 23, 1938 in Gordon County. He was the son of the late Bill and Vera Fuller Brown. He was also preceded in death by a grandchild Isaiah Knox. Prior to Mr. Browns retirement he was a supervisor with Fafnir Bearing Incorporated, and before his illness, he was associated with C&S Shoes of Calhoun.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Tammy Brown of Calhoun and by one son, Jody Brown and his wife Deska of Cartersville; three daughters, Vickie Tidwell and her husband Terry of Murfreesboro, TN, Christina Knox and her husband Josh of Calhoun, and Tiffany Collum of Calhoun; two sisters, Pat Holstein and her husband Tim of Calhoun, and Jane Prater and her husband Charles of Plainville. Grandchildren include Phoenix Brown, Jayden Brown, Seth Tidwell, Tim Tidwell, Caleb Tidwell, Nicole Tidwell, and Elijah Knox.

Funeral services for Mr. Erwin "Peco" Brown will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Randy Gulledge officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordon Memorial Gardens.

Active Pallbearers serving will include Gary Sheriff, Tracy Merrill, Tim Holstien, Jim Dockery, Ricky Tucker, and Roy Newberry. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Honorary Pallbearers serving will include Ralph Gray, Charles Prater, Dayln Pullian, and Chris Frix. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
