Eulon Andrew Bray

Mr. Eulon Bray, age 69 of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Taylorsville, GA on November 23, 1939, son of the late Lawrence and Bertha Dean Bray. During his lifetime, Mr. Bray was a self-employed carpenter, and was a member of the Assembly of Faith Church of Dews Pond.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Frances Bray; sons, Steve Bray, Greg Bray, and Timmy Bray and his wife Linda, all of Calhoun; two daughters, Lynn Highfield and her husband Joe of Curryville, and Kim Walraven and her husband Danny of Nicklesville; six brothers, Ralph Bray, Charles Bray and his wife Barbara of Calhoun, Daniel Bray and his wife Robin of Rome, Ed Lanham and his wife Joyce, and Bobby Lanham, both of Calhoun, and Joe Lanham and his wife Sandra of Cartersville; and a sister, Ollie Gravley of Calhoun. Grandchildren surviving are Andrew Bray, Matt Bray, Nathan Bray, Jonathan Bray, Timothy Bray, Jr., Crissy Bray, Seth Highfield, Brittany Evan Highfield, Scotty Bray, Ryan Bray, Zack Walraven, and Zeak Walraven. Six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Eulon Bray will be conducted Saturday, March 14 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Alvin Suggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Assembly of Faith Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Andrew Bray, Scotty Bray, Timothy Bray, Jr., Ryan Bray, Matt Bray, and Seth Highfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny and Zeak Walraven, and Joe Highfield. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday after 2:00pm.
