Mrs. Eunice Ballew, age 91 of Fairmount, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 at Gordon Health Care Center.
She was a native of Gordon County, born to the late Bob and Audrey Shirley Brannon on August 11, 1919. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Perry Ballew. Mrs. Ballew was retired from Lacey Mills.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Nancy Ballew of Fairmount; a daughter, Doris Haddock of Conyers; and two sisters, Willene Cochran of Acworth, and Dymple Childers of Fairmount. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kelly Haddock Brown, and Paige Fouts and her husband Terry; great-grandchildren, Chris Fouts, Sydney Kate Brown, and Savannah Coley Brown; and many other friends and relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice Ballew will be conducted Thursday, January 6th at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon and Rev. Freddie Craig officiating. Interment will follow in the Ryo (Pleasant Grove) Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Kenny Childers, Randy Brannon, Blake Brannon, Steve Brannon, Larry Rogers, and Ronnie Childers. Honorary escort will be management and staff of Gordon Health Care Center.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
