Evelyn Brown Brock

Mrs. Evelyn Brown Brock, age 81 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Floyd Medical Center. She was born in Gwinnett County, GA on December 13, 1932, daughter of the late Edward and Lizzie Weathers Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Brock.

She leaves behind two sons, Eddie Brock of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, and Larry Brock and his wife Kathy of Greensburg, Kentucky; two daughters, Diana Gilbert and her husband Ricky of Calhoun, and Linda Campbell and her husband Paul of Ranger; a sister, Jeanette Bramblett of Dallas, Georgia; and grandchildren, Laryn Brock, Steve Brock, Kathryn Brock Nelson, Jason Gilbert, Brandi Gilbert, Brent Gilbert, and Justin Campbell. Eight great-grandchildren and other relatives also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Evelyn Brown Brock will be held Sunday, November 2nd at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Clifford Free officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving will include Justin Campbell, Steve Brock, Paul Campbell, Brent Gilbert, Nicholas Gilbert, and Jacob Dixon.

The Brock family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, November 1st from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
