Fain Jordan Jr

Bro. Fain H. Jordan, Jr., age 64 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009. He was born in Bartow County on September 3, 1945, to Fain Jordan, Sr. and Zonnie Jarrett Jordan. Bro. Jordan was a well known evangelist in the Gordon County area for many years, and was a member of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Patsy Paulette Towe Jordan, of Calhoun; three sons, Blake Jordan of Fairmount, Benjamin Jordon and his wife Kimberly of Albany, GA, and Joshua Jordan and his wife Randa of Calhoun; a daughter, Heather Moss and her husband Jon; and mother, Zonnie Jarrett Jordan of Bartow County. A brother, Marty Jordan and his wife Helen of Calhoun; a sister, Wilma Chitwood; and eleven grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Bro. Fain Jordan Jr. will be conducted Saturday at 2:00pm from the Concord Missionary Baptist Church, with Bro. Sammy Allen, Bro. Milton Taylor, and Bro. Robert Green officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, with Bro. Stinnett Ballew conducting the graveside rites. Active pallbearers will include Allen Clark, Jeff Fuller, Herbert Williamson, Denver Boling, Bobby Thomas, John Dorsey, Kyle Miller, and Jerry Yount. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the church Saturday at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends at the Concord Missionary Baptist Church Friday after 3:00pm.
