Faye Davis Addy

Mrs. Faye Davis Addy, age 68 of Fairmount, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at her residence following ten months of declining health.

She was born on April 27, 1945 in Gordon County, daughter of the late William Clyde Davis and Clara Christin Smith Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Michelle Addy; a son, Preston Herbert Addy; a sister, Betty Lou Davis; three brothers, Johnny Davis, David Lamar Davis, and Jerry Wayne Davis; and a brother-in-law, Elmo Stone.

Mrs. Addy is survived by her husband of 46 years, John David Addy of the residence; a daughter, Susie Grizzle and her husband Darrell; sisters, Norma Jean Stone, Rachel Joyce Kirby and her husband Rick, and Nina Lynn Jackson and her husband Hugh, all of Calhoun; brothers, William C. Davis, Jr. and his wife Thelma, L.C. Davis and his wife Odessa, and Anthony Ray Davis and his wife Carol, all of Calhoun; grandchildren, Wesley Jerome Grizzle and Tiffany Michelle Grizzle; and sisters-in-law, Hilda Davis and Helen Davis. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Davis Addy will be conducted Friday, October 18, 2013 at 3:00 pm from the Evangelistic Outreach Church, with Rev. Dennis Childers officiating. Music will be arranged by Ritchie Parker and Mike Dixon. Active pallbearers serving will include Jeff Davis, Elbert Jackson, Brian Davis, Greg Davis, Josh Davis and Mike Nixon. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Stone, Nathan Renner, Stevie Bryan, Lamar Thomas, Terry Rushing and Drew Kirby. Interment will follow the service at Fain Cemetery.

The Addy family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and on Friday the family will receive friends at Evangelistic Outreach Church after 9:00 am until the funeral hour.
