Flaura Mae Hale

Flaura Mae Leonard Hale, a longtime resident of the Sonoraville community, died at Gordon Hospital on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, following a brief illness. Flaura Mae was born Bartow County on February 13, 1944; she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lucille Clayton Leonard. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than fifty years, Lawrence Calvin Hale, in 2014; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jessie and Audrey Leonard, Roy Leonard, Gene Leonard, John and Mary Grace Leonard, James Leonard, GW Leonard, and Bradford Leonard; her sisters and brother-in-law, Evelyn Ruth Leonard, Elizabeth Burchett, and Mavis and Troy Fortenberry. Flaura Mae was a loving mother, grandmother, and a sweet friend to many. She always smiled; her smile and laugh will not be forgotten.
Flaura Mae is survived by her loving daughter, Tammie Elaine Chadwick; her granddaughters, Christina Williams and Haley Chadwick; her great-grandchildren, Jaqueline, Ava, Madison, Brooklyn, and Dakota Williams; her sisters-in-law, Ellen Leonard and Mildred Hale; her brother-in-law, Arlon Burchett; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The Hale family will receive friends on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. They will also receive friends on Friday from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the family plot at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Ryan Miller will officiate. Pallbearers are Wayne Leonard, Terry Farmer, Wiley Leonard, Gary Scott, Dennis Farmer, and Alex Leonard.
