Flonnie Mae Gee

September 25, 1919 — March 16, 2008

Mrs. Flonnie Mae Gee, age 88 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Gordon Health Care. She was born on September 25, 1919 in Cherokee County, Georgia, daughter of the late Hiram and Victoria Clark Cowart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Hubert Gee; a son, E.J Gee, and by five sisters and two brothers. During her lifetime, she and her husband were poultry producers. Mrs. Gee was a member of Eastgate Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class, a member of the Gordon County Senior Citizens Center, and the Rocking Chair Band.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rhelda and M.D. Casey; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Barbara Gee; a daughter-in-law, Jeannette Gee, all of Calhoun; and a sister-in-law, Ruby Gray and her husband Pat of Hampton. Five grandchildren; Pam and Robert Rhienhart, Brenda and Freddy Fletcher, Chris Gee, Teresa and Roy King, and Lynne and Matt Barton; and seven great-grandchildren; Nolan Rhienhart, Nelson Rhienhart, Nicole Rhienhart, Jeremy King, Tyler King, Kathryn Barton, and Leslie Barton also survive. Other survivors include nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Flonnie Mae Gee will be conducted Monday, March 17 at 2:00pm from the Eastgate Baptist Church, with Rev. Kenny Rogers and Brother Lamar Hand officiating. Interment will follow at Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include grandsons and great-grandsons and they include Robert Rhienhart, Freddy Fletcher, Matt Barton, Roy King, Nolan Rhienhart, Nelson Rhienhart, Jeremy King, and Tyler King. The staff and caregivers of Gordon Health Care will serve as honorary escort. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday after 5:00pm until 12:30pm on Monday, at which time Mrs. Gee will be placed in state at Eastgate Baptist Church for one hour prior to the funeral service.
