Flonnie Seabolt Patterson

Mrs. Flonnie Seabolt Patterson, age 76 of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Ridgewood Manor Health Care Center following several years of declining health.

Mrs. Patterson was born on October 18, 1932 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Mike and Myrtle Seabolt. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Patterson in December 2006; a grandchild, Jody E. Patterson in July 1981; a sister, Edna Greeson and her husband Ted, and a brother, Harold Seabolt and his wife Lucy. During her lifetime she was employed as a Nurse's Aide for Gordon Health Care Center, and was a member of New Town Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Goforth of Calhoun; two sons, Kenneth Patterson and his wife Paula of Ranger, and Kevin Patterson and his wife Michelle of Granite Falls, North Carolina; and grandchildren, Tim Brake, Tony Brake, James Goforth, T.J. Goforth, Katrina Rich, Joey Rich and Brianna Patterson. Nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Flonnie Seabolt Patterson will be conducted Saturday at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon and Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Tim Brake, Tony Brake, T.J. Goforth, Joey Rich, Charles Brake and Corey Chitwood. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday evening between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm.
