Floy Moorehead Walraven

Mrs. Floy Moorehead Walraven, age 96 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Gordon Health Care. She was born in Bartow County on July 28, 1912, daughter of the late Allen James Pinson and Tinnie Shaw Pinson. Mrs. Walraven was retired from the textile industry.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Millard Jackson Moorehead, her husband A.B. Walraven, a daughter, Daphine Avery, several brothers and sisters-in-law, and a sister.

Mrs. Walraven is survived by her children, Bobby Walraven and his wife Debbie, Jack Moorehead and his wife Inez, Larry Walraven and his wife Shirley, all of Sugar Valley, and Diane and Charley Allen of Calhoun; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and two great-great-great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Floy Moorehead Walraven will be conducted Monday, December 29 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon and Brother Lamar Hand officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Hall Memorial. Pallbearers serving will include Brian Walraven, Marty Moorehead, Tony Moorehead, Justin Kinsey, T.J. Rushing, Bryson Romine, Logan Walraven, Kord Allen, and Chuck Allen.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. Online condolences may be expressed and the guestbook signed at www.maxbrannonandsons.com.
