Obituary

Floyd "Dell" Jenkins, 64, of Resaca, Georgia passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Dell was born on 2/23/1957 in Crossville, TN to Floyd and Willie Jenkins. After losing his mother at a very young age, Dell moved to Detroit, OR and attended Detroit High School where he met his wife of 47 years. Dell was the proud owner/operator of Dell Jenkins Trucking, LLC with over 4 million miles in the trucking industry during his long career. He was happiest camping/fishing with his grandkids, working in his yard, and spending time with his family, his many friends and driving his truck. Dell was preceded in death by both his parents, 3 brothers, Jim, Claude and Ron.
Dell is survived by his loving wife; Aprel, two sons; Michael and Phillip (Christina), two grandkids; Austin and Victoria, two sisters; Ruth Ritchie (Chuck) and June Claggett. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from coast to coast. Dell will be dearly missed by many.
A service to celebrate Dells life will be held Monday, April 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Brown officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service between the hours of 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday April 6th at 1:00 PM (CST) at Mount Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, 4505 South York RD, Jamestown, TN. 38556
