Floyd Walraven

March 13, 1936 — December 2, 2012

Mr. Floyd Walraven, age 76 of the Nickelsville Community passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Murray County on March 13, 1936, son of the late Bee and Margaret Louise Cates Walraven. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Walraven, and three sisters, Daisy McBride, Doris Walraven, and Ethel Walraven.

Mr. Walraven was a veteran, serving his country in the US Air Force from 1954 until 1958. He was of the Baptist faith, and a minister of Gordon Health Care Center, participating in services with Bro. Lamar Hand.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Billie Ann Wilson Walraven; three sons, Randy Walraven of Ranger, Danny Walraven of Resaca, and Tim Walraven of Resaca; three daughters, Teresa Adcock of Calhoun, Cynthia Dixon of Resaca, and Tina Green of Resaca; two sisters, Goldie Bennett and Jan Gee, both of Calhoun; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and an aunt, Minnie Floyd of Cochran, GA.

Funeral services for Mr. Floyd Walraven will be held Tuesday, December 4th at 3:00pm from the White Graves Baptist Church, with Bro. Lamar Hand and Bro. Isaac Johns officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. Music will be arranged by David and Tammy Glass. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The Walraven family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Monday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
