Mr. F.M. Cochran, age 88 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at his residence following several months of declining health. He was born on April 18, 1925, son of the late Chet and Willie Bell Evans Cochran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Louise Tate Cochran in 2006; a son-in-law, John ONeal; a sister, Mable Jeanette Cochran; a sister and brother-in-law, Lillie Pearl and J.M. Bennett; and a grandson, Stanley ONeal.
He leaves behind two sons, Tracy Cochran and his wife Melissa, and Gary Cochran; and a daughter, Gail ONeal, all of Calhoun. Grandchildren surviving are Haley ONeal, Lanea ONeal McKeone, Brett Cochran, Bogen Cochran, and Megen Cochran; and great-grandchildren, Regan ONeal, Avery ONeal, Colton McKeone, Blake Cochran, and Aden Cochran. Nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. F.M. Cochran will be held Saturday, November 16th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Entombment will follow in Damascus Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Charles Godfrey, Ricky Smith, Leonard Fletcher, Mark Franks, Haley ONeal, and Bogen Cochran.
The Cochran family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
