Frances Braden Abernathy

Mrs. Frances Braden Abernathy, age 90, of Knoxville, GA, formerly of Calhoun, GA, died Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Taylor County Health and Rehab Center in Butler, GA.

Mrs. Abernathy was born February 28, 1926, in Rome, GA to the late Robert Earnest and Josephine Woods Braden. She was a textile worker, housewife, and member of Fellowship Baptist Church in White, GA.

Mrs. Abernathy is preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Faye Bowman Turner; great-grandson, Tyler Fleming; sisters, Lola Mae Turner, Josephine Elizabeth Braden, and Mildred Baker; and brother, Robert Sydney Braden.
Survivors include her son, Cary L. (Anna) Lambert; grandchildren, P. Michael Lambert, C. Todd (Lori) Lambert, Alfie (Anthony) Lambert Pierce, Darren L. (Charity) Morley, Dawn M. Morley Lee, Keli (Greg) Bowman Degenstien, Kim Bowman Fleming, and Daryl (Deanna) Bowman; 19 great-grandchildren; nephew, Claude Baker; and several other nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Mrs. Abernathy will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2016, from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home in Calhoun GA.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Coggins Funeral Home of Thomaston.
