Frances Gilbert Greeson

Mrs. Frances Gilbert Greeson, age 77 of Resaca, GA passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Gordon Hospital. She was a native of Gordon County, born on April 11, 1936 to the late James "Bud" and Odell Dodd Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Greeson; and brothers, Jimmy Gilbert and Jerry Gilbert.

Frances was retired as owner of Moores Dry Cleaners and Alterations Unlimited. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she was active in the Feed the Hungry Ministry.

She leaves behind two sons, Gene Greeson of Resaca, and Alan Greeson and his wife Dr. Nataly Greeson of Miami, FL; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and George Eggers of Resaca, and Teresa and Jerry Fuller of Calhoun; and siblings, Rayford and Polly Gilbert, Judy and Ted Smith, Michael and Wanda Gilbert, Danny and Lynn Gilbert, Ted and Kara Gilbert, and Phil Gilbert. Grandchildren surviving are Todd and Behki Fuller, Tonya Fuller, Kevin and Nicole Cobb, Keisha and Stacy Hensley, Trey and Michelle Greeson, and a grandson on the way; and great-grandchildren, Daulton and Cade Pepin; Barrett, Blaire and Reese Fuller, Brandon and Callie Cobb; Zack, Avery, "AJ", and Trent Hensley, and Rylee and Brayden Greeson. Other survivors include a special brother-in-law, Everett Greeson; and special friends, Nancy Gordon, Sue Wilson, and Linda Anderson. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Frances Gilbert Greeson will be held Wednesday, April 2nd at 2:00 PM from Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with Rev. Calvin Anderson, Rev. Larry Hibberts, and Rev. Stacy Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Todd Fuller, Kevin Cobb, Trey Greeson, Randy Gilbert, Earl Riley, Ricky Smith, and Daulton Pepin. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

The Greeson family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
