Mr. Gary Earnest Fincham, age 75 of Adairsville, GA passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 at his residence following several months of declining health.
He was born in Hopkins, MN on July 15, 1936, son of the late Victor and Hilda Dawson Fincham.
Mr. Fincham was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rome, GA, serving as Chairman of the Outreach Committee, and assisting with the local food pantry. He served his country in the National Guard, and was owner of Enviro-Pack of Georgia.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sandra Swenson Fincham; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marybeth and Nick Sorrow of Adairsville, and Cynthia and Michel Phillips of Smyrna, GA; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Kaye Fincham of Roseville, CA; a sister, Jeannie Lillestal of Tempe, AZ; grandchildren, Lauren Sorrow, Ian Sorrow, Benjy Phillips, and Ivy Phillips; and other relatives.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Gary Earnest Fincham will be held at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3000 Garden Lakes Blvd., Rome, GA, on Saturday, July 14th at 11:00am, with Pastor Jack Karch officiating. The Fincham family will receive friends at the church from 10:30am until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in memory of Mr. Fincham.
