Gay Mangum

Gay (Gi Gi) Mangum, age 53 of Calhoun, died Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center following several weeks of declining health. She was born in Bartow County on August 12, 1960, daughter of the late Arthur and Lucille Blalock Mangum.

Gi Gi was a 1978 graduate of Red Bud High School, and had been employed with Prater Ford, Inc. for 23 years.

She leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Neil Davis; a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Candace Mangum; two grandchildren, Bryce Davis and Reed Davis; and special friend, Olen Holmes, all of Calhoun. Other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Gay (Gi Gi) Mangum will be held Saturday, September 7th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Music will be arranged by Marie Grisham. Interment will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will include Greg Hefner, Jim Prater, Perry Stanley, Fred Prater, Greg Davis, and Jim Davis. Honorary pallbearers are employees of Prater Ford, Inc.

The Mangum family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour of 11:00 AM.
