Gayle Hawthorne Shepard

Mrs. Gayle Hawthorne Shepard, 54 of Fitzgerald, GA, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at her home. She was born in Miami, FL on April 25, 1963, daughter of the late Ira and Eula Mae Strother Hawthorne.
Gayle was a Nurse for many years in Dalton, GA nursing homes and hospital. She loved her family and grandchildren. She loved all kinds of music, playing the flute in high school and beyond.
Survivors include her children, Brandon Shepard and his wife Misty of Rocky Face, GA; and Candace Brock of Calhoun, GA; the father of her children, Kenny Shepard of Rocky Face; her brother and sister-in-law, David and Janet Hawthorne of Rocky Face; her sisters, Ava Marie Hawthorne-Soleim and her husband Jeff of Minnesota, and Sharon Hawthorne of Jacksonville, FL; and her grandchildren, Braden Carpenter, Brooks Brock, Brady Brock, Easton Shepard, Anastasia Shepard, and Aaron Shepard. Other survivors include her special friends, Teresa Jones and Denise Westberry; and many other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service to honor the life of Mrs. Gayle Hawthorne Shepard will be held Monday, June 5th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Donnie Hudgins officiating.
