Geneva Nell Parker

Mrs. Geneva Nell Parker, 74, of Calhoun died Friday, October 31, 2014. She was born in Cherokee County, Alabama on August 13, 1940, daughter of the late Minnie Cobb Hill and Claude E. Hill.

She was a member of Newtown Baptist Church and in years past was a member of Calhoun Avenue Baptist Church in Rome.

She leaves behind her husband, Ralph Eldridge Parker Sr., to whom she was married to for 55 years; two sons, Ralph Jr. Parker and his wife Kim of Calhoun and Anthony Parker of Adairsville; a daughter, Susan Duncan and her husband Stan of Calhoun; eight grandchildren, Becky Bowman, Nathan Parker and his wife Desi, Stanton Duncan and his wife Hannah, Steven Duncan and his wife Heather, Stewart Duncan, Ariel Parker, Bryson Parker and Keaton Parker; six great -grandchildren, Jayla Bowman, Aubrey Bowman, Carson Duncan, Cole Duncan, Grayson Parker, Callie Parker, and Logan Duncan; and a special aunt, Catherine Jenkins. Several Nieces and nephews also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Geneva Nell Parker will be held Monday, November 3rd at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Bro. Walter Hare and Rev. David Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Nathan Parker, Stanton Duncan, Steven Duncan, Stewart Duncan, Alan Walker, and Trey Goble. Honorary pallbearers are Bryson Parker and Keaton Parker.

The Parker family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 2nd from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
