George Arvil Hall

August 29, 1937 — October 6, 2007

Mr. George Arvil (Jabo) Hall, age 70 of Plainville, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the residence following several months of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on August 29, 1937, son of the late Bill and Alice Kinsey Hall. During his lifetime, Mr. Hall worked in the auto paint and body industry in Scottsville. He was a loving husband, father, and friend.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Pamela Winn Hall; a son and daughter-in-law, Marlon and Rita Hall of Scottsville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Andy Hightower, Donna and Mike Fite, and Kathy and Wayne Jones, all of Calhoun; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Tammy Hall of Adairsville; three sisters, Irene Reisner of Plainville, Edna Caldwell and her husband Billy of Kingston, and Ann Caldwell and her husband Jimmy of Scottsville. Nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

A graveside service for Mr. George Arvil (Jabo) Hall will be conducted Sunday, October 7, at 1:00pm from the Franklin Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Dale Williams, Brent Williams, Chris Jones, Ashley Johnson, Mitchell Caldwell, and Anthony Caldwell. Condolences may be given to the family at the residence where Mr. Hall will lie in state until the funeral hour.
