George Williams

Mr. George J. Williams, age 75 of Calhoun, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 following three years of declining health. He was born in Alabama on August 17, 1938, son of the late Amos and Frances Holcomb Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Roy Williams in 2004.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jeanette Mulkey Williams; three sons, Jimmy (Teresa) Williams of Calhoun, John Williams of Calhoun, and James Williams and Dave Paska of St. Petersburg, FL; and three daughters, Frances Hall of Calhoun, Robin (Terry) Hall of Calhoun, and Ruby (Sam) Lindsey of Panama, FL. Sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Teresa "Sweet Cheese" also survive.

A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, November 30th at 1:00 PM from Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Burnan Lee Hall, Reggie Marion Redd, Rick Barry Wilson, Rick Camp, Michael Hall, and Rex Evans. Honorary pallbearers are Remington Steele and Burnan Joshua Hall.

The Williams family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday after 3:00 PM.
