Obituary

Georgia Christine Guess Stone, 94, of Oakman, Georgia died Friday, April 30, 2021. She was born on April 19, 1927 to the late Mike B. Guess and Leah Guess. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, William G. Bill Stone; her siblings, Faye Martin, Gwen Pendley, Jimmy Hartley, Jack Guess and Max Guess.
Georgia retired from Springs Mills. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She was an avid seamstress, traveler, and she loved a practical joke.
She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Faye Black and Diane (Mike) Poarch; siblings, Linda Guess, Edith (Mac) Sullivan, Bobby Guess; grandchildren, Curtis Silvers and April Jones; great-grandchildren, Jacob Silvers, Jazsten Silvers and a great-great-granddaughter, Grayland Benson; sister-in-laws, Diane Guess and Ruth Guess.
The family would like to thank the staff of Homestead Hospice and Chaplain Steve.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the funeral home from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM.
