Obituary

Ms. Glennese "Neesie" Rogers, 84, a lifelong resident of Calhoun, died at Floyd Medical Center on Monday, March 5, 2018, following several weeks of declining health. Glennese was retired from Echota Mills, where she worked in the payroll department, and from Gordon County, where she served as the county purchasing agent. She enjoyed being an active member of Heritage Baptist Church. Glennese was born in Gordon County on April 12, 1933; she was the daughter of the late James T. and Mary Blaylock Rogers.
Glennese is survived by her nephew and his wife, Phil and Robbi Rogers; her great nieces, Jennifer Stevens, and her husband, Chip, and Ashley Rogers and her fiance, Anthony Saladino; cousins, and other relatives.
The Rogers family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow the visitation at Heritage Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Dr. Brent Davis and Pastor Mitch Phillips will officiate. Burial will follow at Chandler Cemetery with Rev. Randy Davis officiating at the committal service. Pallbearers are Buddy Moss, Lamar Dean, Lamar Benton, Maurice Jones, Dale Bentley, and Charles Poarch. Honorary pallbearers are the ladies who were members of Glenneses Sunday School Class.
