Mrs. Gloria Christine Burnette Wright of the Scottsville Community, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Heartland Hospice Center in Cartersville. She was 73 years of age.
Mrs. Wright was born on September 17, 1934 in Cedartown, Georgia, daughter of the late Guy and Josephine Bonds Burnette.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Wright. During her lifetime Mrs. Wright was associated with Wal Mart of Calhoun for twenty years.
Mrs. Wright is survived by her husband, James Denton Wright, Sr. to whom she was married for 58 years; one daughter, Carol Cronan and her husband Kenneth of the Scottsville Community; two sons, Mitchell Wright and Denton Wright and his wife Martha, all of the Scottsville Community; three sisters, Martha Hogan of Jackson, Mississippi, Gwendolyn Forrester of Bremen, Georgia, and Billie Gossett of LaGrange, Georgia. Grandchildren, Kahtrina Stafford, Kendra Morgan, Contanya Shellnut, Joshua Wright and Misty Carden; and nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Gloria Christine Burnette Wright will be conducted Friday at 11:00am from the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Gilmer County, with Dr. Roger Horton and Rev. Wesley Forrester officiating.
